Developing health & safety policies
All organisations employing more than five people are required by law to have a written Health & Safety policy detailing the business's own safety arrangements and systems of work. The Bureau has extensive experience in developing appropriate policies for a wide range of organisations. The policies provide detailed standards and procedures for such issues as: Gas and Electrical Safety / Fire Safety / General Kitchen Safety / COSHH / Risk Assessment / Manual Handling / Display Screen Equipment / Health & Safety Legislation / Accident Reporting / Management Control.
Health & safety auditing
The European Safety Bureau can carry out a detailed assessment of your premises, equipment, practices and management systems relating to health & safety at work. As with our Food Safety Audits, a written report is produced highlighting any contraventions of the legal standards and also suggesting remedial actions and any other areas for improvement. The Bureau has extensive experience in the promotion and monitoring of health & safety within the food, catering, hotel, leisure and retail sectors including specific guidance on Standard and Emergency Operating Procedures and the supply of control documentation for recording essential information. Again, as with our Food Safety Audits, reports and statistics can be managed online via our confidential, password protected RELAY Client Support Service. The report format can be individually tailored to suit the requirements of each client.
Risk assessment and other support services
If you need help in ensuring that Risk Assessments have been carried out correctly, The European Safety Bureau can provide you with Risk Assessment packages or become actively involved in helping you apply the packages to your organisation. And, as with our Food Safety services, we can also provide 'crisis management' support, an enforcement authority liaison service and Expert Witness advice.
